What people are saying about "Other Planets"
"...a powerful, cinematic release.....Scott is a composer as much as a bass player who dives into the deep soul and nuances of the bass, extracting sensuous melodies and atmospheric moods.... Erik Scott's album "Other Planets" tops Echoes Top 25 List for February. It was our February CD of the Month."

"Ambitious, atmospheric, bright, delicate, dramatic, eccentric, energetic, intense, passionate."
RobKast Radio, the Netherlands
"Brilliant. What I imagine it sounds like in heaven on a very good night."
Thomas Nowicky
"Erik Scott's "Other Planets" is a beautiful collection of evocative soundscapes with bass playing the leading role. It's full of textures and colors that make for a serene listening experience."
Michael Manring
"This is far and away one of the best instrumental albums I've come across. "Peace On Saturn" is some sort of heavenly country music."
Wildy's World
"If there is a breakout musician on this album it is Erik Scott, a fine musician who has always done outstanding work. This album (Sonia Dada's "Test Pattern") has several tracks that put him in a class with Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, and James Jamerson of Motown fame." (Note from Eski) "What a wonderful compliment, but there is no way...if I found myself in a room with those cats, I'd be the one buying dinner."

About Erik 'Eski' Scott
Bassist Erik "Eski" Scott has played with alt-rockers Sonia Dada and shock rocker Alice Cooper. But don't let that scare you away from his album, Other Planets, a beautiful instrumental recording with sensuous electric bass leads that shows what a bass can sound like when a great melodicist leads the way....haunting moods and heartbreaking melodies." John Diliberto, Producer, Echoes.org
Best known for his work with Alice Cooper, Sonia Dada, and Flo & Eddie, "Erik "Eski" Scott has a recording career that stretches back to 1969, making albums with Northern Illinois groups "Food" and "Jambalaya". It was in 1974 he met and played bass with Zappa cohorts and Turtles members Flo and Eddie, and would later record and tour with Alice Cooper. He was a founding member and worked fifteen years with Sonia Dada. He also made recordings with Pops and Mavis Staples, Kim Carnes, and many other artists over a forty year career, a love affair and devotion which spans until present day where we find him playing some truly zoned out, interstellar bass on his solo record "Other Planets", which is as beautiful as it is technically adept. His current material is virtuosic but never ostentatious, with nods toward ambient sensibilities fleshed out through unique and often complex melodies." Kelly Burnette, for Foxy Digitalis
